The Central Anti-corruption
Bureau
fights against corruption through:
1.
the prosecution of crimes against:
a)
the activity of the state’s institutions as well
as the institutions of territorial self-government,
b)
the administration of justice, elections and
referendums, public order, credibility of documents, property,
economic turnover, money and securities turnover, if they are
related to corruption or activity aimed at infringing upon the
economic interests of the state,
c)
financing the political parties, if they are
related to corruption,
d)
tax obligations and settlements resulting from
subsidies and subventions, if they are related to corruption or
activity aimed at infringing upon the economic interests of the
state,
2.
controls aimed at:
a)
finding and countering the cases where persons
fulfilling public functions are not observing the regulations on
restraints in running an economic activity;
b)
finding the cases where the procedures specified
by legal regulations are not being observed, with regards to the
making and completing of decisions in regard to: privatisation
and commercialisation, financial support, granting public
procurements, management of the property of units or
entrepreneurs, and granting concessions, permissions, subject
and object exemptions, reliefs, preferences, contingents,
plafonds, credit guarantees;
c)
checking the correctness and authenticity of
financial declarations or declarations regarding the running of
the economic activity of the persons fulfilling the public
functions,
3.
analytic activity of irregularities occurring in
the area of jurisdiction of the Central Anti-corruption Office,
and notification of the President of the Council of Ministers,
President of the Republic of Poland as well as the Sejm and
Senate within that scope.
